Introduction to the Browning Cutting Competition Knife.

Thanks Marion, this is really an under-rated large knife! Well balanced, quality steel, nice convex grind and even a tapered tang with Micarta slabs that are quite comfortable.

No introduction needed. Mine has been enabling my OCD (obsessive chopping disorder) for a year. I think the sheath stud is called a frog.

Good bang for the buck big knife, and pretty well reviewed by Noss as a "serious chopping machine".

It's chopping sweet-spot is near the handle, as it is not weight-forward by design. But the tip is so damn sharp, that it actually slices and performs some finer tasks reasonably well - like a good butcher's knife.

Not the toughest blade out there, but a good value:

Not heard a bad word about this knife yet, any review has always been favorable. Looks quite light but having seen pics of the way it performs for once the chopping ability hasn't been affected by the weight loss.

i have wanted to check one of these out for a long time... i think they're probably one of the best buys, for the price...
