Introduction

most expensive folders I own are Ontario Rat1 and Spydie tenacious, maybe one day i'll invest but I feel like you get more for the money with big blades, you've made my goal an aranyik now.

I don't have too many expensive folders, I buy a LOT of the Kershaw budget line($20 each pretty much), have a Tenacious, couple CRKTs... I do like collecting big folders though, so I have several of Cold Steel's lineup of big folding blades...the Voyager XL line(5.5 inch blades) is around $45-50, the Spartan is $60-ish, and the Rajah 2 ran $90(but then, for a folder it's massive, 6 inch blade, 14 inches overall). Yet to get an Espada XL(I want one though) and I'm stoked about the upcoming XL Talwar as well. I do have a $70 Spyderco Native and I have a $101 Buck 110 on order from their Custom Shop, and there are some other more expensive Spyderco and ZT blades I wanna get, but generally speaking, I like big blades more(have you seen the Kershaw Camp 10 yet? That's a sweet big blade, and it's only $40)

yeah I've seen the 10 looks pretty cool, especially the sheath! I want to start collecting big folders starting with the Kershaw Tremor since I can't afford an espada, I'm not a big cold steel or SOG fan at all so there rules out some. I only have like 5 folders... opinel no.8. kershaw oso sweet, kershaw crown (gift), spyderco tenacious, ontario rat 1 and 2 super tough schrade folders (1 orange g-10 serrated lockback $10) and (1 od green tanto serrated liner $10) got them at cabela's on sale, naturally I've got a few $1.00 walmart folders for my glovebox (seatbelt cutter) and just in backpacks just cause, couple of frost cutleries but idk and idc where those are hahaha

The Camp 10 is a nice package all around. I don't have a Tremor yet but one is actually in the mail on it's way to me, lol. I don't have an Opinel yet(getting a 12 next payday), I love the OSO Sweet(that's one of my regular carry knives) and I have 2 Crowns(one black handle, one blue) which I use when I'm dressing up a bit, they look very stylish. I have a sprint run Tenacious which I like, have yet to get me a Rat 1 yet though like so many others it's on my wishlist, heh. I haven't been a big fan of SOG either, but I like Cold Steel, if you can get past their goofy advertising they make some nice beater knives(and one of the few makers of really big folders on the market, wish that Espada was cheaper though the XL Voyagers are really nice for the price). And while Cold Steel's older machetes are kinda meh, their more recent Jungle Machete is actually pretty nice(esp for $25), their Kopis machete is fun(I like the looks of the kopis) and I'm looking forward to their new machetes due this year too, the barong, smatchet, and royal kukri especially. Don't have any Schrades, and lol, yeah I got one of those $1 Walmart folders as well, also for glovebox, heh.

see, the kershaw budgets are pretty small for me (large gloves) which is why I love the RAT1 and will be trading in my tencious for a persistence in the very near future

Well, the Tremor is definitely beefier than the others in the lineup, so it may indeed be something to check out(I got mine today, heh). But...do you mean the Resilience? The Persistence is smaller than the Tenacious, and not much bigger than most of the Kershaw budgets.

yeah that one haha but instead this week I'm investing in some hiking/camping gear (pistol belt, suspenders and a LMF firesteel) we'll see if the persistence or tremor makes it next week, lemme know how the tremor is

I like the Tremor and it's EDC viable for me(I could understand someone not wanting to though, it's a bit beefy). Nice looking blade, stonewashed finished, comfortable grip(and my hands are small, so I can also comfortably choke down on it if for some reason I needed an extra inch or so of reach). And I gotta admit, with the assisted opening, that blade pops out fast and with a really authoritative thwack, very fun to just pop it open(maybe not the best idea with people around, but working overnight it's just me here, so I can flick my knives all I want, heh)

mine was the tip of my pointer finger and it was a long while back so I don't know about what the chef's knife was but I was opening a bag of salad... the wrong way. still have the scar and screen name though!

Mine was with a Kershaw Skyline. Took about an inch long flap of skin off my left index finger. Took 20 minutes for it to stop bleeding. My coworkers were freaking out. I had them snag me paper towels (don't wanna walk through a grocery store with a bloody finger) and was back to work shortly. (Don't know if photo will work. First time posting it)

Well, you convinced me so I literally just checked out my cart on amazon after adding the tremor $21 just means I won't splurge this week haha
