been reading so much here I thought I would intro myself.
Live in Henderson, NV , just outside of Vegas , been into guns for as long as I can remember , knives for about 10 years or so , always used them , never understood what makes a good one. Thru various forums and thru talking with various makers in person and on the phone , I have learned alot that has helped me in this hobby , I have been having a blast making knives in my shop out back. A highlight was having Neil Blackwood visit me in my shop a few years ago when he was in for the SHOT show.

What started out as a step up from modifying productions , has now grown into an obsession ( thats what the wife says ;) ).

My shop aint much but it does have most of what I need , and soon to have more stuff I want. But being as it is a hobby for me , I have to control the urge to buy more equipment.

I will upgrade to a knifemaker membership here soon ( later this month ).

This is the last one I finished:
OAL: 9 1/4
Blade length : 4 1/4
Steel : .200 thick 154cm with heat treat by Paul Bos
handle: black G10 , red liner , SS corby bolts , SS lan hole
tang tapers to approx .080
9 oz leather sheath in basic black
( leather work is as fun as knifemaking ).

Great looking knife!

Hard to tell from this angle, but is that a satin finish on the blade?

thanks for the welcome Fred & Bruce . Bruce that W2 & Koa knife on your website is spectacular.

reminds me I need to call Chuck @ AKS and get some more Koa.
 
couple ones I finished up recently:

Top one is 154Cm , tapered tang , green linen micarta
next one is D2 , tapered tang , black g10 over orange G10
S30v with tan g10 over black g10
S30v tapered tang with blue g10 with red liners.
