Hello, my name is David Hall, and my home town is Vincent, Ohio. I started building knives about 3 yrs. ago to get myself more accustomed to using the tools that would be needed to build custom muzzle loaders. My father has built them for around 35 yrs now, and before I started that big of a project I thought I'd try to start with something a little smaller. Well, that was 3 yrs. ago now, and it has become a passion all in its own.

At first I made them and just gave them away to family and friends. After awhile I started getting requests for presents for Christmas, graduations, and birthdays. I started building my knives and selling them on E-bay in 2006. The more I built the more I sold, and the more it made sense to me to start my own business. I spend at least 5 days a week in my shop working on sold orders, building knives for E-bay, getting ready for upcoming knife shows, and creating new knife designs. I prefer to use 440C stainless for my knife blades, but lately I have been using some ATS34. I normally like to use exotic woods as well as native hardwoods for the handles. Recently I have also been using some bone and horn, to expand my library of knife creations.

When I'm not working on my knives, I spend the biggest part of my time enjoying the outdoors. I am an avid hunter and fisherman. From mid February until late September you'll find me somewhere on the majestic and might Ohio River and its tributaries in search of white bass, striper, saugeye, walleye, and channel cats. The primary one being the Flathead Catfish. Every year I'm out there looking for that elusive 60+ pounder, and while I'm waiting for that to happen I have fun watching my family and friends reel in their share of hard running channels. The rest of the year, if you can find me, I'm somewhere camouflaged in the woods looking for the next big buck to put up on either my, or my friend and family's wall.

I believe in the United States of America, and all that it stands for. My heroes are the men and women that protect our country here and abroad. If it was not for these brave people you would not be reading this, and for certain you would not have the right to enjoy all the things that so many of us take for granted in these days and times.

Anyway, that is a little about me. I hope you enjoy looking at my work, and I am open to any criticism that you can though my way.

Almost forgot. I did post some of my knives on my album page, if ya want to look.

One more thing....thanks to all of you for all the questions that you've answered in the past. Also a special thanks to Ken Liegey and Mr. R.W. Wilson for countless hours at their shops!

Thanks! David and birdog4!

birdog4, I agree. I've been up to R.W's 4 or 5 times. Not enough can be said of his hospitality, cooking, or stories! Really make ya feel at home. He really makes knife making look WAY!!!! to easy. I always try to take as much knowledge as I can, home with me. Then I come home and drive myself crazy trying to figure out how in the world he made that look so dang easy!!!! I guess over 40 some years of doing it will make it look that way....lol

Ken and my father have been friends since they were in grade school. The man has the patience of Jobe! He has been a tremendous help over the last few years. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy.

Welcome David, it's nice to hear such a fine introduction.

I'm sure it's because I'm blind or simple, but I don't see the link to your knives? I'd like to check em out. Would someone help me?
