Inventive SAK uses ?

No glasses screwdriver? The tweezers will fit. Bit fiddly but it works.
The flathead on the can opener will fit 4mm Allen bolts.
The awl can be used on simple window locks in place of the key, a bit of a jiggle and the pins of the lock will align and open it. When I was a kid, we had a rotaryphone with a lock. For a payment, I would unlock it for my sister.

This is a good thread, given me some new uses for the tools.

Great tip about the tweezers 👍
Added that one to the list.

Hmm.. the pin can be used as a SIM card tool. Oh, it also can be used to pin a roach and reach places the toothpick can't.

I've seen the corkscrew used to test dry aged meats (prosciutto, bresaola). Kind of like taking core samples of cheese and smelling/tasting.

I've always used a SAC bottle cap lifter to open gallon buckets of paint. It's a simple pry bar in my pocket that I naturally grab when I open paint cans.
That is a use I have wanted to do, but I'm afraid I'll break it prying open paint can lids.

I have little use for a cork screw, but they are real handy for undoing knots on fishing line. I usually carry a beg needle for that since my SAK doesn't have the cork screw on it. One person told me they use their cork screw as a tie point to ground point when they set up their small tent back packing.

Alox awl to disengage the locking tab on zip-ties instead of cutting.

When carrying heavy plastic backs, I loop the carry handles over the closed alox sak body, to use it as a comfortable carry handle.

As a retired painter of 25yrs I would hesitate to open paint cans.. Dried paint is a bear to break lose some times.. Would be ok on new cans though.. John

I just use a regular screw driver for paint cans. :D I often open paint cans that I had previously opened and used out of. So, sometimes they are hard to open even with a real screw driver.

The awl is great for striking a firesteel, the can opener does a pretty good job at it too.
I had a super tinker once, my wife thought the blade would make a good pry bar.
I was pissed.

They have a tool that you can buy, designed for that very purpose, and they're less than $5.00.

I found the corkscrew good for pulling off wall plates for electrical switches and outlets when there stuck on from paint.

It's also good for pulling plastic wall anchors out of drywall.

I'll use the hook to untighten wing nuts that can't be undone by hand.

These are good
Especially the drywall anchor puller

Magnifier when you are outdoors to put a hot spot on an unsuspecting sleeper (do not attempt unless you are a fast runner :D ). Not much good as a fire starter, though.

Piece of tissue wrapped around tweezer used to clean rails. Also a few drops of gun oil, 3in1 etc on tissue and dab on slip joints to lubricate. Iess mess.

Keep a paper clip in the corkscrew just like the eyeglass screwdriver. Paperclip is actually more useful.

I've used the bottle cap/screwdriver on a bantam wrapped with a rag and oil to clean gun slide rails and other tough to reach areas while cleaning a gun for many years.
