Inventory of Emerson Custom Folders

Sniper308,

With the announcement that Ernie is now going to stop taking orders for new customs it becomes more interesting to get an idea of what is out there.

Are you still keeping score as to who has what? If so can you repost the list (do you also keep track of the number of Rolexs in the forum? - if so add an Explorer 2)

Regards,

Ed

I'm glad to see the interest in the Customs, and with Ernie announcing his Semi-Retirement and him not talking any new custom orders that trading and purchasing within our own group may be one of our few choices to accquire that knife we want.

The list is currect as I type this, and knives have been added to the list as people e-mail me or post on the forum that they acquired one. However if one has been sold or traded away I haven't been aware of more than just a few.

I also have a list of fixed blades that some of you have told me you own but it is a short one. If there is interest I'd be happy to post it. (I'd start a new thread for fixed blades). I've got several knives listed though that I don't even know what they are, so I'd need some of you old time collectors to tell me if these are folders or fixed blades.

As far as Rolex watches go, I've got several but I'd prefer to list those at T.U.R.F. for you rolex fans.

Keep the mail coming!

I am every bit as interested in the fixed blades as the folders and would like to see that list.

Ok guys. I have updated this list to include fixed blades that I am aware of. If you have a knife, you don't think I'm aware of or it isn't listed let me know and I'll be happy to edit the list with the update.

There is one fixed blade that I briefly owned which is still in the "family". A SpecWar Logo CF-3 Trident with a black oxide finish. This particular example is without a doubt the sharpest Emerson I have ever seen. Trust me, given the general "sharpness" of custom Emersons I wouldn't bother to mention this if it wasn't that much sharper. Forget scarey, try terror!

Now I know why I can't get an 8. You guys have a large portion of them and Les's network of customers has the rest. If any of you would be interested in parting with an 8, please let me know. It is pretty much the only Emerson I would think about coughing up the requisite amount of cash.

baffle them with your BS.

Sniper 308 you can add one more CQC-6 custom to your list of forum members. I obtained this one early this year out of a batch Ernie was making after 5 years of waiting. After seeing the quality I put in for another custom order, who knows how long this one will take. When dealers see the knife, it is like showing the Holy Grail!

Gotcha covered Bud! Your CQC6 is accounted for in the inventory, and you're the 29th forum member to admidt what they own.

There's been a few knives sold to non-forum members lately and the inventory has been changed to show those that I'm aware of.

We just lost a nice Viper 3 unless someone calls Arizona Custom Knives and purchases the one that they have on consignment.

Sniper308,

Do you have a break down of the different CQC6's out there. Half Moon Logo, Specwar Logo, Single bevel edge, file work, etc.

Hey John,
Thanks to you I got the picture to show up on the first try

I got the knife yesterday.
It's a older Halfmoon logo CQC6. Single bevel edge. Opening disc is held on with a small allen screw instead of a phillips screw. No file work whatsoever. Not even on the liner lock! Pretty cool.
Logo is kind of faded but still visible. It has micarta scales but I think that they were dyed black. It feels like G-10. Blade shape kind of looks like a CQC7?

Since it has a few scuff marks, this will be my daily carry knife. Maybe I'll send it to Emerson for a refurbishing, but I would hate to lose my new knife for two weeks to a month. Besides, if I got it back looking new I might not carry it. I'm just funny like that.

I know what you mean. I've ordered more knives, fully intending to carry them, just to put them away because they came in just too nice to carry.

Please add my recently acquired left handed, half moon CQC6 to the list and my half moon Vindicator?

Please add my EMERSON logo Tactical Persian fixed blade. Thanks
