apologies ahead of time for being so abrupt, brethren, but things are moving fast here.

i thought my fellow-hawk-o-holics here might like to get tuned into this deal, mods - please remove it if it is out of line.

we have about 25 ECO Hawks coming in immediately, which will include some good cordage and the bag we were sent.

now you have to ask yourself, do i feel lucky? :cool::thumbup:

if you want some of the first run before you see them tested, etc. - contact Saint Erica immediately and get on the Wish List.

ericag@equinoxcoronado.com

Erica can direct you to more information about the product too.

they are made to fit big hands and small alike, and ready to accept your own self-made wraps, handle mods, haft mods, or one of our future accessories for it.

the Tanto/Spike can be sharpened into a Sabre Grind or chisel if you like (slot screwdriver maybe?), but it will go through just about anything as it is and we encourage you to try it this way first.

The bag is an adaptation on a design that some Special Forces guys in VN carried for a Bug Out Bag, including the owner of TOPS, Mike Fuller himself.

it's got a divider, shell loops/elastics, a double closure of velcro, MOLLE and four D-ring tie-down sites and can be carried in multiple ways.

short story: i absolutely love it - these are only available for a limited time as part of the package.

the ECO Hawks will allow you to have everything from a poll hawk to a small knife, all in one package, personalized by yourself or you can get future accessories from us here at the humble Hawk Project with the benefits of an Investors Discount.

they are zone tempered of 1075 carbon alloy on 3/16" stock and made ENTIRELY IN THE USA.

the edges are about 56 - 57 Rockwell in the 3/4" zone near the edges, then 52 - 53 Rockwell, and about the mid-40's in the center - just perfect, if you ask me.

they are going to go fast, so enjoy. we will get more if and when we can but we don't have control over those factors at this time.

where applicable for the first 24 hours, Hawk project Investors will get first right of refusal of this great deal.

as these are the FIRST RUN, i will be glad to sign your ECO HAWK as its designer, so you can have a personalized collector's item.

these things are going to be a huge amount of fun for everyone involved i think.

prices will range between $75 (OUR INVESTORS) to $89 plus tax and shipping.

as a THANK YOU! to the owners and organizers of this forum, members here who are not yet our Investors will get the Investors price until Tuesday night 17 NOV 2009 @ 2359 hours - mention to my Erica that you saw it here for the discount. - after that time, Investors will get the same deal, others will pay $89 plus tax and shipping where applicable, and i don't think they will mind a bit when they see what this deal is firsthand.

this is your chance to get a Tactical Grade tomahawk, hand axe, knife, poll hawk, and excellent Field Tool, etc. at a much lower price than all those items added up separately.

thanks for the consideration and i hope you get a chance at one of the first ones, brethren.

if you say no thanks, no problem - i did my best.

yours affectionately,

vec

I generally don't go for this kind of thing, but something in my dog brain is drawn to it.

I'm in!

you will like it, i gaurantee. - especially if ya like to fiddle with stuff to make it your own.

i'm loving the heat treat and steel so far.

make sure and get a hold of Erica if ya haven't already, brother;

20 gone in two hours! - about five left as of this post.

Can you give us an idea of the size of these heads? Maybe take a picture of one next to a hammer or tril hawk?

they are zone-tempered 1075 steel.

3/16" stock thickness.

7.1 Ounces.

7 inches long.

2 inches in their widest dimension, 1 inch wide in their narrowest width at the "waist".

the curves trap your hand over the Center of Mass when using it as a knife, without wraps or handle scales, which we encourage you to customize your ECO HAWK with, plus we should be making our own composite ones, etc..

it is a hawk-modifier's future favorite toy.

2 or 3 left.

email sent. I'm all in. This looks to be exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I didn't read the rest of the post before I rushed off to send my email to Erica. I don't suppose it will still be possible for me to get that investor's price will it? I was in for this even without knowing about the price but, hey, saving a few bucks may make it harder for the spouse to open her hubby's skull with a brand new, dandy hawk head.

i think you are good, brother, we got yer back, i reckon, if there is still stock available. - we don't stand on ceremony here at the humble Hawk Project. we aren't perfect, but we can try to be perfectly nice.

mean people suck anyways.

- plus we have the Happiness Gaurantee - so there is never a risk involved with us anyway - addiction to hawks doesn't count...:D:thumbup:....

besides, i gotz me a particularly-nefarious plot to make wives and girlfriends ask their men to buy them extra ones - wait and see, brethren - we gotta stick together here....

HTH.

Cool deal (yeah, I emailed Erica before posting the first time, I know how these guys are. :cool:).

Now I keep looking at that spare haft for my CS Warhammer. Sure, it's way overkill on length for this, but still. . .they might not even see the head until just before it connects on that large a haft. . .

Thank you, Everyone, for your enthusiastic replies and emails.

All the Eco Hawks are gone and we're working on a Wait List for batch #2. I'm not sure yet when we'll be able to get our hands on them.

Stay tuned!

Can't wait to get my hands on it. I bet 6 or 8 of 'em would make a great mace head 8)

Oh, this is going to provide lots of provocative thinking...

these are going to catch like wildfire;

next time they are available (shouldn't be too long, God Willing) make sure and mention that you've gotten some from the first batch, so we can juice up the Investors Discount if possible.

like brother nightdawg's suggestion about a mace, there is literally too much to cover with one of these, to explain all the possibilities - imagine if someone looked at us and asked which thing we do with our knives of choice;

"do ya whittle with 'em, or do ya just spread butter with 'em...?" :-[

we'd look at them like they were an offending amoeba.

this is how i see the ECO Hawks developing - everyone will think up things that i never thought of, i reckon - that's the mark of a classic design IMHO

- its not just going to be a decent emergency tool and ultralight pick/hand adze/hawk/harpoon/small knife thingy...

- it's gonna be FUN!!!, ya dig?

say you dodiggit.

:thumbup:

....har...!

no way, brother! - long is gonna be GOOOooood!

one of these on the end of a cane would make me pretty ecstatic.

i see these as being especially nice in the extreme lengths - not just as a harpoon or lance head, but as a poll axe length and ALSO on the other side of the length spectrum;

shortie hawks.

i can't wait to mod a Mark V handle for one of these in the 14 - 16" range - it will be a great digger, whether in the rocky earth, or some bastard's gourd....

the back-cuts with that tanto/spike will be pretty epic, not to mention glances with the edge nexus on the main bit ...i am droolin' just thinkin' anbout it.

this head works well without a haft too, but i am especially looking forward to the hybridized hawk/knife technique that will be possible with the little ECO Hawk.

it's exciting to see a new tool that suits our needs.

okay, i am ranting and foaming - sorry - this thing overexcites me.

next dealie-O will be pictorials.

keep praying for the humble Hawk Project.

:D
