from what i have read on this forum and other forums people are both sides of the invicta fence so i decided to go ahead and buy the s1 racer combat model exactly 30 days of lightly wearing it the chrno stop resetting in the proper place so i send it in, with an additional 28 buck for return shipping. Send it off for the 6-8 week wait that turns into 10-12 week, Called many times in see when it was coming back I would get a operator who would transfer me than nothing .So I get the watch today and it was not repaired. I AM IN TO THIS INVICTA FOR $228 which iS a lot of $$$ for me and most people any I am pissed
If YOU ARE on the fence about an invicta i would say DO NOT DO IT, it’s not worth the risk.

Thanks for the heads up... they look pretty cool...but yours and several others have got me looking at a orange monster,Seiko seems pretty reputable...

On most chronos you can reset the dial your self.It is a combination of pushing two buttons,I can not remember whitch ones.Been a while sense I had one.
On the Invicta note, they are not for me.A little high price for what to me has become a fashion-bling watch.

Ive been wearing my Black Monster almost every day since I got it about a year ago. How time flies! All it needs is constant wearing since a few days in a drawer and it slows down, and the short months need resetting. But it is a horse. :)

I have tried to get it back to proper position but for the money i spent to send it in they could have least reset it?

I think it's getting knocked around that makes rezeroing necessary. Could be they rezeroed it and then with all the knocking around that packages get in shipping ...

You might try taking it to a local jeweler. If it only needs to be rezeroed he can do that and it will stay rezeroed while he hands it back to you. If it really is broken he may be able to help you get the manufacturer to fix it.

Used it for a run today, sure it resets but than falls right back off of zero. With all the $$ I have with shipping back and forth etc the only places its going is back in the top drawer or invicta. Thanks

I just wanted to update that invicta did replace the watch, the chrono work so far but get this i am wading in the water with the kids at the lake and guess what happens water i gets out, looks like water got in. so now i have a fogged up watch face or when not foggy you can see the moisture inside on the glass love this thing

If I were you, I'd "write this one off" and bash it to pieces with a hammer, then buy yourself a Citizen Eco-Drive EcoZilla.

It sounds like it was a POS from the start.
It looks as though you just wanted a decent watch and they lied to you and told you it was awesome.
At least you've learned what brand NOT to buy again.
Pretty rough to go through all of that to find out though. :grumpy:

Good luck on your next watch purchase.

its hard to beat a seiko monster for a rough use watch, the price isnt bad either, better than some watches at 2X or even 3X the price.

I've had my Orange Monster for about 4 years and it is indeed a tank
with quality comparing to other stuff costing several times more. Only
real complaint is the lack of a hack feature but at the price hardly an issue.

i've been collecting watches mainly vintage and mechanical chronographs for around 15 years now. mostly heuer's made before tag bought the heuer name in bankruptcy in the 80's. also first automatic chronographs with at least one of each of the firsts.....a movado version of the zenith/movado group el primero, various versions in most brands of the heuer/leonidas, breitling, hamilton/bren, dubois-dpraz caliber 11, and a couple of the seiko 6139's. wrong place for watch talk....sorry....

anyways, invicta has been known in the watch collecting world as junk, and they are just that. overpriced fashioned junk. i've owned a couple of examples over the years to see what the deal was.....and all were crap and stopped working. this coming from a guy who likes rough rider and srm knives. so keep that in mind i call 'em as they are, no politics involved.

buy a seiko or citizen. seiko makes some extremely expensive and high end watches under their credor and top tier grand seiko line, not to be confused with their mall store geared line call "le grand" and everything in between the mall stuff and these. so lots of good quality at all price points. i prefer seikos to citizens, but that's me.

lastly and most imporantly, never trust a "jeweler" to work on a watch, whether mechanical or quartz. watchmaking is an entirely different skill set. how they got lumped together who knows, but only a certified watchmaker(rolex certified is a good start and/or wostep certified) can work on a watch and not mess it up. this includes battery changes, and once you open the caseback the gasket can get distorted or reset improperly or replaced with the wrong size, or and often not put back in at all and there goes your water resistance. if you can't find someone locally who is competent and has been certified and trained properly always send it back to the manufacturer. this applies to higher end watches like swatch group companies, and lvmh companies and rolex, etc. reason being is cheaper watches tend to cost more to service than they cost.....not talking battery changes, talking mechanical servicing.

invicta was always a marketing company not a manufacturer. last time i looked they had no factory. that could have changed but i doubt it......... it's been awhile since i kept up due to many reasons.....

Was wondering about the Invicta items, but have never really heard anyone too crazey about them I broke down and bought a Seiko black monster only issue was haveing a shitty jeweler size it..the little pin's fell out that hold the bracelet together, and it seems no one stock's them.so where ever you get one have them size it....

Good luck
crazy roger

I'm going be to different on this one. I say save your money and go out and buy a $30-$50 Timex Expedition. I know they are ugly but I've had one now for 10 or 11 years and I'm hard on watches and it keepson working. I have replaced the bands and battery a couple of times. I would then take my left over money and go buy myself another knife.
