Goes like this: Knife slips out of your hand, ends up tip first in the metal grinder stand, then bounces onto the concrete floor. Me hollering, Oh *&#@. Pick the knife up, expecting the worst, but nothing. No bend or broken tip, no scratches in the satin finish.

Being a BG 42 blade at RC 62, I was impressed. I guess some times one get's lucky

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!http://www.nebsnow.com/L6steel
Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms!!!

I drop knives ALL THE TIME on my workshop floor (hard concrete) and I think the worst damage was a bit of a dent in a wood handle. They must fall just right! My goal when I move is to eventually have a shop with the rubberized floor stuff or some kind of mats, at least. I drop screws and stuff all the time, too, and the disappear!

My hand slipped when I was inertia opening a delica once. It ended up stuck in a fence board behind me, thank god it wasn't someone behind me. No damage to the knife at all.
