Invova flashlights

Depends on your needs. They are two very different lights.

The x5 is more of a floodlight, and uses cr123. And it's much brighter than the x1.

The x1 is not that bright, and more of a spot, but it uses cheap and easily found AAs.
But IMHO, if you want a AA-light, there are MUCH better ones out there.

This is a good site with comparision between a lot of lights.

www.candlepowerforums.com has a LOT of info, reviews, etc. for handheld lighting tools. While I like Inova's build quality, I prefer other brands that offer more light output. I have many lights and none are Inova. Not saying Inovas aren't good, but I find other lights (brands and models) offer more of what I'm looking for in terms of output vs. runtime, quality, and aesthetics.

Also ask yourself if you want to use CR123A batteries of AA/alkaline batteries. This will help narrow your decision considerably (along with a few other questions on preferences and usage).

I use an Inova T4 at work and love it. Very bright and durable. I'm sure it is bigger than what you are looking for though.

I carry an X5 pretty much everywhwere. I was turned on to them this past summer by a man who is a security officer for the UN. We were training together at a Surefire Instructor's class. Anyway, he's carried his all over Africa and swears by it.

The X5 isn't really bright enough to qualify as a "tactical" light but it is very bright nonetheless and pretty much bomb proof! It gets a solid 20 hours on a set of batteries and is waterproof. (It's actaully submersable) The lithium batteries aren't as readily available as AA or AAA and they are more $ but that long run time and 10 year shelf light is a great thing. Nothing worse that picking up your light and finding that it's batteries have discharged! You can get large packs of Surefire CR123 batteries from Cabelas for a very reasonable price. Getting Energizers at Walmart is a whole lot more $. I use mine on an almost daily basis. I only wish it had a pocket clip.

For the $ you absolutely can't go wrong.

I have a T-3 which I love.I used to have a T-2 which got lost, but was an excellent light that had a decent run time and ample light.I used to have the X-5,which was another decent light with good working light and run time.I like the T series the best though.I really want to get a T-5.

I wouldn't go that far. ^^^

But I think inova lights are limited to close up use. If you're looking for more power and "throw" look elsewhere.

I'm more of a Surefire fan but I can get the T4 at a very good deal. I'm wondering if the size would be bothersome though.

Surefire are nice, but the Fenix P1 series look very nice the top one has a raw output of 130Lumens with 1 single CR123a battery.

I've had an X-5 for a year now and carry it alot. Very bright up close, but not good for lighting up your neighbors yard or anything. I find it very easy to keep with me and quite bright.

I received my P1D Cree Edition a few days ago. It's very nice, brighter, than the P1, but not even near to 130 lumens. I compared the 2 lights to my SF e1L and C2+KL5. The P1 is very little brighter, than the e1L, but the C2+KL5 is much-much brighter, than the P1D CE.

Sorry for OFF.

I swear by surefire lights too, but i think the Fenix P1d CE with the cree led is as good as a keychain light as it gets.

I really like the Pelican LED lights. I carry an M3 to work every day. It's very bright, solid, and batteries last a good long time. I buy the 123 batteries in boxes of 25.

The Innova X-5 is great for sucking the life out of CR123's. When my HDS light lets me know that a battery change is due, the X-5 gets the old 123's. They will suck them dry. Perfect blackout light.

well the T2 and the X5 are nearly the same.

so i think i might just go for a X1, need it more for little things rather than lighting up yard. but i might just get the X5 anyways lol.

one more sorry guy.
the T3 and XO3 thiers no real difference in them right? i checked and seems like nothing really different .
what you guys like better
