iPhone 4G? Yes or No

Iphones are awesome but people get too into them....my boss told me there is an app that allows the camera to run while you text so you can walk and text at the same time and not run into people. Seriously that is WAY TOO FAR!

Not talking about so-lo. Just saying in general. BTW paypal from the iphone I did not know this...awesome. I hate the trendyness of the phone but hell it's hard not to own one, It is THE PHONE owning anything else seems rather pointless. Apple hit a HUGE home run with the iphone.

Got mine this morning and it is awesome. There are a lot of great devices out there now though, so it could be a tough choice. I've been an iPhone owner since the first one and I just like everything about them.

Upgraded from the original to the 4. It's NOT called a 4G.
It's awesome. Typing on it right now and it's a lot faster than my original I used to have.
Big improvement aesthetically and performance wise.

How's the "bumper thing"/"drop call thing" working for you guys that have the iphone4 in hand?

I am not too happy about it, just wonder if it's as bad as everyone is making it out to be :(

Yes.

Upgraded hardware specifications, a more robust operating system, a nicer screen, and the ability to video conference. I'm not a Mac fan boy by any means but I definitely give this phone the thumbs up.

I got to play with my pop's iPhone 4 earlier today and it seems like a reasonably significant step over the previous generation. On an off note, my dad always seems to have the latest gadgets in spades but I suppose that's one of the perks of being financially successful.

It has not been an issue at all on either of the 2 Iphones in my family. No dropped calls, before or after I received the bumper.

I love the IP4, great improvement over the 3G, faster, better battery life, better display, great camera and video capabilities. Check out this link for a review of the camera and how it fairs against others

I have no complaints

This is good news

I'll probably pick one up next week :D

I pre ordered one on the 15th from At&T...not here yet and no indication that it shipped. NOT happy.

the iphone 4 is beautiful and functional!! fit and finish is a 10 of 10 and the os extremely fast!! i think of it as the sebenza of the mobile world as far as build quality and performance go!!!

Agreed. Now I just need to find a case. Anyone found a good one yet?

Otterboxes are about to come out. I'm on the email list and they have the designs, just waiting for them to become available. They offer a light duty silicone case, a medium duty case to protect against drops, and a full fledged tank that can protect the phone from everything but water.

IMO a ZAGG full body invisibleSHIELD with the apple bumper is the best all around protection without sacrificing it's beauty!!

There's a clear case by belkin they're selling at best buy I'm going to pick up. Seems to be a good combo of durability and aesthetics. Also a nice looking hard shell from griffin I'll check out. I have to say this is my first iphone and so far there's nothing I don't love about it.

I've got a 3G and would like to upgrade to the 4 but will wait for the hoopla to die down. That and I'd like to learn more about the dropped call issue too. My buddy told me today that Apple is apparently looking to hire a couple antenna specialists or something like that. This is apparently a big issue and they're trying to get it resolved ASAP. If you go on You Tube there are quite a few videos about it.

We've got an Apple store in the neighborhood so I've been playing with their stuff several times a week. The 4G phone is very nice. Wikipedia has some nice comparison spec pages on the various iphone/itouch/ipad products. Here's a great tear down tour of the 4G's innards.

PS They say Apple is going to add Verizon next January or so. Might be better than AT&T.

I say go for the New Apple 4G because it's ....
