iPhone Cases?

+1 lifeproof. To me water damage is the bigger risk than dropping.

They are more affordable now, around 59$. Be careful, there are lots of fakes on eBay.

if you have an affinity for both iphone cases and knife then why not have both, lol...i just posted my whats in your pocket EDC2 on another thread...I have the case and it works pretty awesome!! I dont know too much about the company though....i ordered it through buzzfeed http://www.buzzfeed.com/peggy/clever-tech-gifts-you-might-want-to-keep-for-yourself

I am a phone fanatic and upgrade around every 6 months I currently have an iPhone 5s and I will probably be keeping it a while. I agree with previous statements that life proof makes a great case I've used one on all my iPhones so far. But with the 5s I use the sleeve for the iPhone made by saddleback and I absolutely love it. I don't have to carry a bulky case and it protects it from scratches and bumps. (I do have a screen protector on it though.)

I use to do that with computers when they first came out 286/386/486. I was building them from scratch and installing the operating software too.one day I was looking on how much money I spent doing just that. I refuse to do that with the cell phone. I will get a new cell phone when I have no other choice or they have one that I need really bad.

I use the magpul field case. Cheap, compact, no sharp edges to dig into my ear. And did I mention it is cheap? I love how compact it is since I carry my phone in my pocket. Even with its lack of oversized cushioning, my phone has survived several 3-4' drops onto concrete with no ill effects.

I used to always use the iphone 5 magpul field case, loved it. As already said super cheap and durable. Lately I have been rocking a element case sector 5. It is an expensive case and in all honesty I don't think it protects as well as the 10 dollar magpul, but it sure as heck looks cool and is super thin.

Amen...I've had every iPhone since the 3 and many cases....Magpul field case ROCKS. I have a blue one, and my wife has a red one (matches our respective cars).

I switch cases a lot if I want to carry it on my belt I use an otterbox. If i plan to carry in my pocket I use a zoogue case. I'm on there mailing list. Sometimes they have free items that you just pay for shipping which is only $3-$4.

I have been using Speck's PixelSkin silicone case for a few years on an iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 and it has served me so well. I have dropped my phone several times and the silicone protected it from one corner drop without any damage. Great protection for the price.

I'll never spend more than $10 on an iPhone case. Just got a 5, and I went to Target - their cheapest case was $20! It wasn't anything special either, very cheap plastic. Even more ridiculous: they were selling screen protectors (the plastic film that sticks to the touch-screen) for $20 a piece.

Back to eBay I go.

Curious about what the Magpul folks like about the Magpul case? From the pictures it looks like a pretty standard case, but there's a lot of people that really like the case - what differentiates it from the others? Based on all the reviews I'll probably try one...

It's a Magpul branded product, that is about it. There is no extra protection afforded by the case compared to say an OtterBox Commuter.
