Iraquois "Belly Ripper" Tomahawk

This was an actual type of tomahawk that was popular with the iraquois indians. Called a "belly ripper" for obvious reasons. Not a camp or hunting hawk, just a weapon plain and simple. This one has a curly maple haft and a wrought iron fileworked cap. Also a heart in the blade motif.

Howdy all. Brand new here on the forum. That is a cool 'hawk. I'm fairly new to tomahawks and looking to learn more about them. Looks like i've come to the right place. Thats beautiful work Kentucky.
