Just got done with this one about 1hr ago. First time trying out this desert iron wood and man is it tough stuff. Now I know why they call it iron wood :D This stuff is harder to grind than Micarta!

This bad girl sports a flat/convex grind with a zero edge. Even the large top swedge is sharpened. Lately I have been spending lots of time polishing out the edges and boy are they Sharp! Too bad my lighting is not good enough to capture the contrast. The demarcation between the polished edge and the satin blade gives it a very subtle almost hamon like look.

Ironwood certainly adds something in scales. That is a really nice job.

This may well be my favorite Busse ever. The grind lines, the polish, the wood grain/pattern, sharpened top clip, and the pins. Perfect! Thanks for posting this for us to drool over.

Amazing work, Ban.

When I first read that you were doing an ironwood handle I didn't expect you to follow the same shape as the original micarta/G10....

Looks really good.

Yeah it is quite tedious to do it this way. Especially with this tough iron wood :grumpy:

Oh man, seriously -- that one is absolutely stunning!!!

The pins you picked are the perfect way to match the scales to the blade, GREAT work Ban.
