Iron Wood FBM

Ban, your work just gets more and more awesome! The ironwood and pins on this baby are just incredible!! And I'm really impressed with the edge; can almost see the hamon effect you mention. GREAT work!!

Amazing work. Looks like it could split atoms.:eek:That has got to be the nicest FBM that I've seen. That one deserves to have professional photos done.

send to Lunde first, before.....?

Or sell it to me and I'll pay to send it to Lunde;):D

You've managed to improve an FBM. In every way.

That's no mean feat.

So ... when do you start your new job in Wauseon? :D

Ban... you are killing me with all your beautiful regrinds!!!

That is simply AWESOME!!!
Love the ironwood scales... mosaic pins... satin goodness...
absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

Bans satin finish is on par with custom makers finish I own and better than any factory satin finish I have seen. That ironwood looks awesome. I have plenty of experience with that stuff and it is no fun. The only negative to ironwood is that it is so much heavier than all other materials for handles and it really weighs down a knife. But on a behemoth like the FBM it isn't such big deal.

Fantastic, I love Iron wood and I love that knife. GREAT how does the swedge effect the forward weight?

Thanks for the kind words folks.

The iron wood used on this knife is picked from a much larger piece to get the nicest grain.

I'm also nearby! I gotta come over and hold that thing!

You and anyone else are welcome to come by and check it out before monday evening.

That looks so killer!!! Did you mod the false edge or just sharpen it?

I added the sharpened swedge. This one started as factory FFBM.

That is a good idea. I may have to call Lunde and see if he has some time to spare this weekend :D

I am sure that it changed the balance a tiny bit. It doesn't really make much difference in terms of balance because the thing is so darn heavy and massive.

Ban,this is the nicess Custom FBM i have ever seen,,love the swedge and
finish, and of course the ironwood, great job, this is like santa coming in febuary
for me:D:D.thank you so much
Marc:thumbup:
