Coined edge is the marks on the liners that look like a coins edge.
You can see it in the photo on the liners.

I think what I liked most about this knife was you did'nt waste the
beautiful wood with any bolsters. It doesn't get any better than this.
Plus your quality is SO NICE. I could look at this knife all day.

I like it more as a shadow than with bolsters. IMO, bolsters would ruin this one. Really nice knife!
