Here is a pic of the Ironwolf blade, as received. Also pictured are two Scott Gossmans, and one of my blanks (unground, as supplied from the factory finish).

The two Gossmans are on top, then the Ironwolf, then my blank.

Now I've got to learn to deal with tapered tangs.:D

Thanks to you all. The Ironwolf one will be a challenge because of the tapered tang. Them Gossmans will get done right quicklike.
 
I am very interested why the tapered tang would be a challenge? Is it dilling the pins? I am just curious. Not meant to offend you in any way Andy.
 
No offense. You can't drill the pin holes vertically through the scales due to the taper of the tang. They'd come out skewed at the angle of the tapered tang.
