Steel: O1, ground, not forged. This has a machine satin finish. I wish I'd put a handrubbed finish, but I hadn't planned to use ironwood... The spine and the edges of the tang are mirror polished.

Since the steel was thinner than I usually use, I didn't taper the tang.

Hardness: 59-60 RC

Blade length: 4"

Total length: 8-5/8"

Blade thickness: 1/8"

Handle material: desert ironwood w/red liners

Price: $175 + $10 shipping

I can take paypal, check, or MO. Please send corrospondence and paypal to phillip@pattonblades.com

Comes with leather sheath, which is not made yet, so you can choose your color and carry style.

I proposing a forum regulation preventing the combining of O1 and ironwood, its just not fair, very nice looking but with O1 what a knife.

I like that one Phillip. You keep coming up with these new blade grinds and handle materials!
That gladius is spectacular too. Your grinds are superb.
This one is really my kind of knife-as you know by now!

Thanks Doc! This one was started last year, and is the second one I've made.

BTW everyone, this one's still available. I'm planning to make the sheath today, so if you claim it, you can specify carry style and color.

Thank you sir! I haven't received your email; usually if you send it through BF it won't go through. Try this: phillip@pattonblades.com

E-mail resent to your address above. If you don't receive it, please let me know here and I'll give you a call.

That was a smart buy, I must have looked at this thread a half dozen times yesterday! Lovely blade.

Thanks. The shape of the knife, ironwood, the grind, and liners are an awesome combination.

If you're Russ, then I got it this time. :)

I've had this knife for a couple days now. Needed time to soak it in before posting. Also, I had an internal debate of whether to let the rest of you guys in on the extremely high level of quality that Phillip delivers.

The knife is flawless. Attention to detail, the grinds, scales, and feel of it are incredible. I can't say enough how nice it is. Great work Phillip!

Thanks very much for the good report! I was kind of wishing I'd tapered or skeletonized the tang, but if you like it, I guess it's good. :)
