Ironwood Boot

Agreed. That color sheath totally matches that awesome stag. Like I said above, simple is good. But the colors must compliment.

I like the color better on that last photo. Looks more like steel in both the pins and the blade. Was that partially a function of the finish?

No, I simply overexposed the first shot more. Or I had the lights placed differently. I understand what you see.

I'll bet that Loveless sheath was not nearly as dark when it was made. Time will darken it? I'm not 100% sure.

.... ALL of them are Loveless-styled knives as a fitting tribute.

That said, RWL was a simple sheathmaker. (So is John Young and Mike Lovett. Two other reknowned names in the same style) I think this knife is appropriate with this simple sheath, although the compliment for a dressy-er sheath is appropriate also.

I think that the relatively simple sheath completes an authentic and very
beautifully executed Loveless-Design inspired package!

All the best,

Mike those are great looking sheaths.

If a customer wants a highly tooled sheath I'll be sure to send the knife to Mr. Long.

The sheath that I made for the Bootknife was in the style of a Loveless sheath.

As Coop said, the sheath will darken but it probably will not darken enough to be a perfect match with the Ironwood scales.

Thank you for your input. Always nice to hear different points of view.

Man is that nice and I'll echo everyone that commented on the fit and finish.
