Gorgeous work, Kris... I'm delighted with my Campos/Klammer Scandi with the ivory/ebony handle that you put on. That Scandi grind on Ivan's 1070 steel is so hair-topping keen that I'm almost afraid of it. Even after the first cut has healed:o.

I have one of Ivans' Hot Blooded Scandis and can attest to his skill at blade making, simply awesome.

Nice work that you have done.

Thanks for the comments folks!

The wood is not stabalized - as far as I know ironwood is too dense to stabilize and hard / dense enough that it does not need it. Its some tough stuff.

The other blade in the pics is a Scandi B&T in 1/8" 01 with stabilized spalted maple burl. During final sanding I got some fine lines in the blade finish  which I have not had time to try and correct. Its some of the craziest spalted maple I have ever seen.

Ok let me know when you fix it I am interested in it. Also what kinda sheath do you make for these knives?

Thanks

Sounds good Henry - sheaths are simple fitted / folder over hand stitched from 7-8oz veg tanned leather w/belt loop.
