Ironworker's Folding Knife

Lent the Spyderco Military to a co-worker. He handed it back to me a minute later with the tip broken off and the edge chewed up. He used it to pry free a drill bit for the "dentists drill", which is used to drill bolt holes in steel beams. This is the last tool that I will let anyone use. Oh, my Leatherman SuperTool that I've had for years seems to have disappeared.

Another vote here for the new Spyderco Endura 4.

Add another. In a rough work environment you'd be hard pressed to find me carrying a $100+ knife.

The Endura will do it all for $50 or less. Great blade steel and ergos, super simple and bulletproof design.

I've been EDCing my Delica 4 over all of my other "higher end" folders just for these reasons.

Don't be fooled by the lockback, Spyderco's lockbacks are intended to be used one handed, and it's very simple to close them. Unlike some other *cough* BM *cough* lockbacks.

Sorry you had to learn the hard way...I love it when people misuse your expensive tools like they're some gas station $1.99 cheapo. The Military is probably one of the last knives I'd voluntarily pry with, especially with the tip (it excels at cutting, but the tip is fragile), but he didn't know that. It can be re-ground and put back into fine working order without a lot of effort.

At least this gives you an excuse to pick up another knife. ;)
