Is a Brazilian Nicholson file any good?

I intend to make a knife out of it; the question is if any one made it with success before, as it is made in brazil, not in the US any more. Is it still carbon steel through? Thank you.

Hi, the Brazillian Nicholson file is made in 1095, it´s a good steel but is not fantastic steel in my opinion. I prefer to use 5160 in my knifes.
