The truth is that a single edge razor blade in a holder would be functional for 99% of my daily needs.
Instead I carry a Backpacker Pro fixed blade in my pocket as a substitute.

Same here brother, I feel you.
Sometimes I can get by with just letting my pinky finger nail grow to about 2" but I gotta admit edge retention isn't great and sometimes it snaps so I need to have at least a backup blade.

In the past I've narrowed my knife collection to just one Spyderco Honeybee.

However using the same knife all the time can get boring. To switch things up lately I've been buying all sorts of knives, then I ground off most of the blade till I was left with 2" give or take, since I really don't need the rest, you know.

Just today I'm EDCing my 2" XL Espada.
Feels good man.
