Is a knife your most expensive hand tool?

I wear a $3500 watch (RGM 300) and carry a $750 folder (DDR HD Maxx).

nice watch, never really see them.

good combo to cut things at the bottom of the ocean.

get a deep sea next so you can explore an extra 10,000 feet down! :D

Thanks, I actually traded my Sea Dweller for this (plus cash).

Same here, watch is more than my knife but with the nature of watches, i'd need a crazy custom knife just to top the price of a good "production" watch

my "Edc" stuff, is a $400 tsovet watch, $~100-150 knife (various), and $45 light

My 0560 is the most expensive hand tool that I carry daily unless I'm carrying my Large Regular Sebbie. :D

Aside from pistols and watches, knives are the most expensive "hand tools" I own. I inherited an awesome collection of precision and power tools from my father, but none of them cost more than a few hundred $. Some of my usin' knives easily beat that.

The short answer is "yes". That's not entirely fair though, because the high-end knives I own and use either came off my own bench or in trades with other makers.

As others have described, the only other "hand-tools" I can see spending more than $100 on would be precision measuring implements. Or maybe a waterstone... does that count as a hand tool?

My XM-18 is more expensive than all of my hand tools ATM. To me, it's justifiable considering my knife is used FAR more frequently than most of my hand tools.
