I was browsing the net and saw a picture of this model. Is anyone out there familiar with Masters of Defense or specifically the Trident M/A? Pros/Cons

Thanks
Clay

I have two. Love them, very strong and well built. The liner lock is one of the thickest I've seen. Had some problems out of the box with one of them. Sent it inot MOD for repairs and ended up very happy with it. They tweeked and greased it to perfection. It is a pretty bulky and heavy piece. Some people had lockup problems where they failed the spine wack. The one a friend had with this problem I fixed in ten seconds with some emery cloth.

bfm,
I am glad to hear that MOD fixed your Trident.

I have a Trident, it is a great knife. The size is perfect. MOD's attention to detail is evident in this folder. THICK liner lock. The blade shape is great for utility tasks. Smooth opening. It also comes with an excellent two way sheath.

A few cons-
1. There is a lot of writing on the blade...
"-Pointman-"
"Cheif 'Patches' Watson
Plank Owner, SEAL Team Two
Trident Utility Folder"
then it has the MOD symbol. A little overboard in my opinion.

2. The knife rides a bit high when using the clip, however, the clip is very tight and I don't think that loosing the knife would be a problem.

It's a fine, very rugged knife. Alot of tip strength and a very tough liner lock. This knife is meant for serious work, as are the others in the MOD line. Good luck.

Cannot go wrong with anything from MOD.IMHO
