Is anyone not getting heavy swedge?

Click on the heavy swedge/no swedge link under the CG knives for a better photo. Still not a spine shot but it's something. Also click/enlarge the CG knife shown on top as it is coated with swedge and is easier to see that satin.
For me, would be no choil, no swedge. You can make a choil and swedge down the line if you so desire but you can't add metal later.

I like the tip as strong as possible. No swedge for me.

Ya, on closer examination, the swedge doesn't appear to be rounded like the spine on the SAR4 or NM models. At least not on the CG models.

That way both swedged & swedgeless can fit in the sheath

seems like the swedge would reduce the amount of force being transfered into whatever your trying to split... I'm trying to put the image thats in my head into words, and I failing pretty hard.

I guess "you want to hit the base of a triangle, not the apex" works... the smaller the area your hitting with your baton, the more concetrated the force acting on the baton is, and the more likely it is to take up some of the downward force.

No swedge for me. I see that it gives what looks to be a finer tip but I won't need a fine tip on mine. Don't ever plan on using the tip for delicate work...

Does that mean that no swedge/no choil will be used for all your sheaths? That would make sense. I am still holding out to see some pics when the first few are released.

I would like one with swedge and choil, and the other without out either and then hide'm from my wife so she doesn't use either on me. Pat
