I have regular griptilian and is not a bad knife ,this new version is beautiful, was wondering if anyone is using it hard?

I really like the G10 over the plastic handles. Not a steel snob, so I don't have any preference on that. What, exactly, constitutes, "Hard use"? The Grptilians are very well designed, regardless of materials, and have always performed well, for me.

I would love to see a side by side abuse test of both handle materials. I love G10 but I think the nylon handles are under appreciated especially when it comes to toughness.
BM has a Youtube video of a 551 test.

There is no doubt that the original Griptilians can handle just about anything that one can throw at them. The only downside to them was always that god awful plastic clack sound and the extremely cheap feel of the scales. The mini Griptilians have a much more solid sound and feel to them because of the full steel liners, but the newer G10 models solve this issue and turn the Griptilians into a much more solid feeling knife. It's night and day in the hand. That's not even taking into account the steel upgrade which is huge as far as edge retention and performance goes. I have owned several original Griptilians and they all went bye bye when the new G10 was delivered to my house. I do still have 2 regular mini Griptilians and carry them quite often. I will eventually get the G10 mini Grip as well but for now the only issue I had was with the full size so I've solved that problem and getting a G10 Mini isn't quite as pressing to me as it was with the full size.

I am fairly certain that MJP has summed up the majority of large grip users mindset rather succinctly.

The stock scales is why I do not own a large grip. I know I could get a Ritter in an upgraded steel and aftermarket scales, but it was a hassle...
There were plenty of knives that offered what I wanted in a stock form and now the large grip does the same and they are now on the radar.

Plenty of users in the Benchmade section. Take a swing by.
