Yeah. Hard to say. I suspect it is legit and has just been wire wheeled there and not much anywhere else...
But the oxidation looks like it could have a bit of a “forced” look to it.... idk
I’m still inclined to think it’s real, has seen vinegar and wire wheel. But also agree that it is scary to see fakes out there.

I call BS on the axe due to the smoothness of the metals near the stamp and the pitting elsewhere. It has been vinegared and wire wheeled, but the not-really-pitted stamp worries me. If it’s $5, why not. If it’s anything above $50, I’d look elsewhere first.
