Is blade wobble normal?

Sebenzas have a pivot bushing as well, and that would be the problem before the washers. Besides, if the washers were off by that much, both the washers and the bushing would have to be off, and I sincerely doubt that would be the case.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but I didn't notice that he said it was a used knife...if so,I guess one thread slipped by me:D:rolleyes: but as Neil said..tweek it some if that dosent work, send it back.

Dave

I just seen here in his later thread that it was a used but in pristine shape..my bad!

Good news. I took some advice from kwackster and very lightly polished the bushing and the knife now has no noticeable wobble. I had contacted Heather at CRK and she said I could get some new hardware to try a home repair or send it in. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to be in need of either:) .Thanks again for the help guys:thumbup:

I've never seen a Sebenza with an off-center blade.

I've never seen a Sebenza with blade play that could't be cured with 1/8 a turn of the pivot screw.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to ever feel hesitant or have even the slighest bit of of buyer's remorse with any Chris Reeve product.

Send it in. They'll take care of you and, if anything, you'll feel good about having bought a Reeve product by the way they treat you.

We really shouldn't even be having this conversation. Perfection is what C.R. is all about. It's why people buy Reeves instead of other products or even customs.

You must have a mistake and C.R., I'm sure, would be happy to correct it.

What fulloflead said is the reason I collect (and use) CRK & Custom knives only!

send it in, that's half the reason why there are so many fanatics. They will make it right no matter what!
