Is Breakfree (or other silicon products) safe on Wood/Micarta?

I do believe that Breakfree (r) is a oil /PTFE (Teflon [r]) product, not a silicone product. Perhaps it has been reformulated. Walt

Breakfree is the first product I used on knife pivots on my nightstand that didn't cause me to wake up with a bloody nose...
never had a problem with Micarta at least.
