Is Contender(Marc) Dead?

Someone enlighten me. I do not understand where this is going. I mean no offence either I jsut want to know what is being said that I am not aware of. I am most certainly not playing dumb. Please explain to me what is happening here.
 
If you do know what is going on I would appreciate if you would tell me what is happening. How did we get from a "missing perssons case" to a "conflict of cultures"? I am not playing dumb nor am I meaning any offence, I just want to know what "never mind" means or "benefit of the doubt".
 
Matteo Escobar, I am not playing dumb but I am most definitly oblivious to what you (or others) are talking about. I am really sorry if I offended anyone but I am still in the dark as to what happened in the span of about 5 posts. For the record, I only speak English and I think my grammar has been very good. What is wrong with my English?

This is my last post on this thread as I beleive I will accomplish nothing by asking the same questian again and again. Once again sorry if I offended anyone.
 
No offense seen by me... I think it was some misunderstanding. I have, at times, typed something that was completely different that what I was thinking.

Anyway... The search party will meet a 2pm at the hot dog cart. We'll search until 7pm for Contender. If you spot him, blow on your tactical orange whistle :D

All I see here is the difference between people speaking literally and figuratively.

As an Australian, if I wrote as I spoke my meaning would sometimes be unclear around here.

Meaning just misses its target sometimes when language is used in a different milieu.

--6 feet under?

--dead as in coffin?

OR:

--some idiom?

Exactly. I wasn't using the term "dead" in the literal sense of the word, more of "where is that slacker, we haven't seen him in a LONG time" :)
 
So, maybe it would be okay to be Australian around here—and refer to you lot as a bunch of ugly bastards.
 
Dark Nemesis, in a terribily ironic twist of fait. A friend of mine died two months ago in a SCUBA diving accident, I think that is why when you said he was a diver, I took it literally. He was down about 40 feet and went into cardiac arrest and died before he could surface and get help. I am soooo stupid.

Right, the first correct thing I've seen in a while.

Peter, I think this might help a bit buddy. I appears you are taking some things too literally.

Were it the case that someone would die, there would be a post stating as such.

Nemesis' original post was tongue-in-cheek, and should be taken, as you noted, as a "where the heck is the porker, we haven't seen or heard from him in a while"

To me, it seems you are looking to deeply into some of the posts, while they are not that deep.

Especially with these hogs man, they are a shallow lot....what with rooting out INFI and old D2 and who know what all that has fallen into the trough or been buried in PVC tubes by the sick sick mind of you-know-who.

Everything is cool bro, just lighten up a little. No need to be so serious about things.

And sometimes people can post things, not meaning offense, but the typed words do not come out carrying the same meaning/context they would had they been spoken. Intonation and inflection can't be expressed thru a keyboard. That is why sometimes the smiley faces can help explain true vs apparent meaning. I know often I have typed something, not put an appropriate smiley with it, and had it taken completely the opposite of which it was intended. :footinmou Some people don't use them when they should.

ha ha ha, everyone here is so funny. :barf: I am not upset I just do not understand why one of you (who knew I was being played) did not say anything to me. I cannot help that I am serious, that is the way I am and probably always will be. And yes, for the record, a friend of mine died a while back in a SCUBA diving accident.

Well, I think I am going to pop the top(s) on something cool and refreshing and laugh at myself for not seeing this.
