**Is CRKT going down hill this year?**

David,
Greatly probably you are right as to do not let the things to run too personally.
But the comments in taste "my knife is OK, but someone said it sucks" could shortly turn this Forum into pretty mean place, don't you think?
I'm not Moderator (luckily) and I can't close any thread but to say what I think about the trial to initialize the slander is my right, isn't it? Something in the same taste as recently fashionable BENCHMADE slander...

Sergiusz,
you have a valid point. There is always the debate in my mind about freedom of expression vs what may be best for the forums. I have been accused of being a little heavy handed when it comes to closing threads. In fact, every single time I have closed one, I have received an e-mail about it. In this situation, I agree that Rogue could have stated his question in a little less negative way. It is in my opinion that it does not constitute flaming, only poor choice of phrasing. However, when other people start attacking individuals for the way they have legitimately expressed opinions, I feel the need to interject.
The first rule of the forums is to be nice, after all. Let's just stay on topic and let each individual decide for themselves.

Parenthetically, one of the reasons that CRKT knives finish out a little rough around the edges is because they do not take the extra labor intensive step of sanding down the edges after they have been CAD-CAM stamped. Sometimes that means one needs to rub a little emory paper around the offending edges, but the cost saving of this extra step is signifigant, and the savings are passed on to the customer in the form of lower prices. For me, It is a small inconvenience for the wonderfully high value to cost ratio of their knives.

I feel quality has been maintained, and I really like the designs, but I can't stand the LAWKs system. The SR Model 7 is even one of my favorite designs, except for the lock. I had another LAWKS knife, but I gave it away, choosing to keep the Model 7 because of it's great design. And yeah, I do like the big thumb stud.

Get a clue Broomhilda. I live in the real world where some knives are designed well and some are not designed well. No one has all the $ in the world to buy every knife and try them all out. I read the opinions on the board to find out which are the best and which are junk.
