Is everyone here an outdoorsperson?

I am, and always have been a country boy. Growing up I was always outside, in the woods behind the house. Just walking around with various big knives or hatchets or machetes and a .22. Between me and my best friend that pretty much lived with me during the summer when school was out, I bet there wasn't a squirrel or bird within a 2 mile radius of that house... We went through a 550 round brick of .22 shells each a week.

Now, I work 50-60 hours a week, third shift, and babysit my 8 month old daughter during the day. I get my 5 year old boy every other weekend. Try to spend some time with the wife a little, and try to get some sleep at any possible chance. So I don't get to get out much, and when I do it's usually just in the back yard.

I've already told the wife though in a month or two I'm taking a couple of days off and me and my little brother are going to go hide up in the cohutta wilderness for a day or two!

ETA: Growing up sucks! I want to go back to being a kid.

Live on a 30 acre farm in WI with a pine stand/camping area in the back. Not much of hunter, although I have deer hunted as a boy. My main quest is getting outdoors and exploring. I built a two story cabin/studio with a woodburner on the back of the property, mostly recycled wood/timbers from an old barn. We harvest fire wood for the main woodburner in the house. I'm into martial arts and have some swords training. My new BK2 absolutely rocks!!
welcome to the forums!
pics of knives and the "back 30" are always welcome.

I'm a mediocre outdoorsman. I like to shoot stuff and I screw around in the woods here in Michigan.

I'm trying to teach myself survival/bushcraft skills and improve my marksmanship with rifles/pistols. Shotgun shooting is about the one area where I feel really confident.
