Is it a crime against humanity to USE an LE Busse?

Caption speaks for itself. I love the specs on the LE FSH but would not want to eliminate this fine knife from the remarkable gene pool of collectible Busse knives because it will be a user. I know that a lot of folks treat LE's VERY differently. Do any of you use the LE's you buy? Thanks for any help you can provide to this FNG!!!

It is a crime against any Busse to not use them. I say that know full well I don't, nor could I ever use all of the Busse knives I have collected over these few years. I do have a used Mr. Mojo LE, but I bought it used so I don't feel bad about using it.

I would take issue with that statement if there are no conditionals included :) Remember the other side of Busse knives besides them being outstanding tools....form + fit & finish. There are some people that simply don't have a need for a knife on their side everyday..such as me. At the same time I love knives as much as anyone but my primary interest is in collecting high-end pieces like Busses.

Point taken DN. I wish I had the time and opportunity to use all mine. I would probably be much more content in my existence.

if you save this knife and something befalls you, then your kids will be very happy to take your knife out and use it. why save this work horse for someone else to break in?

you only go around once... make the best of your life and smach the living $hit out of that new busse :D :D

Wow, this new Skunk translation software I got is working.

His reply actually makes sense now.

Wonder when the Were-Skunk will return???

Use it.

That's my advice. Knives get sad when they don't cut nothing. I once saw a piece of ATS-34 get all teary eyed from sitting in a drawer too long. I heard INFI breaks out in a full 2-day-old-baby-crying-fit if it doesn't chop something atleast once a year.

Use it in good health. as nice as that blade looks today it will look much nicer many years from now when it has a lots of dings and scratches and the memories of a great story for each of them

Good advice my friends. . . . there are documented cases of INFI blades running away from collector's show cases in search of more abusive homes!!!

Yours in nuclear abuse!

Jerry

THAT is the kind of reassurance I needed! :) Thank you all for your feedback on this. It is a question I have had for a while. I am still interested in hearing what everyone thinks so you haven't chimed in yet please do!

Getting two is good one LE as a safe queen for the future and one to use although I don't get much opportunity to use a SH here in the wilds of Sillycon Valley

it's not a LE but I just used my brand new fat NO to hack apart a piece of particle board from a water damaged bookcase for no reason other than that I'm nearly drunk and the blade was starting to sing to me.

RoughEdges, that is an oustanding reason and use for a Busse! I have the same Chubby NO and did an overnighter in the Cascades with it last night. Very nice! :D

Thank god we know what really happened. I was starting to think Vicki shipped me Skunks knives. Good to know they ran away on their own :)
