I bought a bead blasted Police Recruit recently. Well, I decided to mic it and found it was .272"-.275" along the spine.
How frequently is this stock encountered? Was I stupid to sell the second one I had exactly like it?

Hey congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! I donno if it is a variant but if ya feel like selling it I am your man. I got two of everything except a Steel Heart II and a Police Recruit. Got a set for me and a set for my Kid.

Ahh yes, that one is from the super secret run of knives manufactured from the special 35/128ths INFI steel.

Seriously though, it may be that there are some slight variations encountered in the initial surface grinding operations (assuming that this is part of the manufacturing process).
