Is it an Illusion or is it a Schrade

Hey there Gev. That's a great old knife- and a great topic for discussion. A Shrade all day - love those old scales my friend.

From my collection,Schrade was the most prolific maker of farmers jacks.The Shrades,like the Empires,are all 4 1/8"

Two Shapleigh DE one French ivory,one peach seed.Both marked B 404.

g(Goins abb. for guesstimate) I believe the cut shown may be that of an Empire,based on the shape of the pruning blade.the empire blades are little more robust than a Schrade blade.
