Is it cool or just ugly?

I don't post many pictures of my knives but I got a kick out of this one and thought some of you might find it entertaining. The customer came to me and said he wanted something different to use in his role as camp cook. After working with him for awhile this came out. He says he will use the primary edge for cooking and the sharpened top edge to repel the occassional bear or mountain lion.:):) I am still trying to decide if I like it or hate it but he was very happy.

Specs:
OAL - 10.75"
Blade length - 6"
CPM 154
Cocobolo handle

Enjoy,
Randy

I don't think the top edge will be a very effective bear repellent. You might suggest to your customer that he consider something that allows a bit more distance between him and the bear... so he can be a repeat customer. ;)

I like the looks of the knife in general, I bet it is comfortable in the hand. Nice choice of wood also. If it were me I would lean more towards a lever action 45/70 with some 300grain flat nose ammo for the bear deterent.

Wodysone, the spine is .200 inches and the blade at the widest point is 2 inches. I ground it pretty thin to give him the best slicing edge I could with something so thick. I agree about distance to bears; I prefer my pump shotgun. Just sayin.
He is big guy though so maybe he has a fighting chance.

That would be a deadly tip. idk if its for me, I feel like i'd break it. Make one of those for/as a small edc and i'd be in love. those blade shapes, esp with the tip are sick for edc tasks.!

Nothing about it looks ugly to me. Seaxey.

im on the fence about it. but if it didn't have the top edge i would like it alot more and like previously said the seax blade shape is great for utility.
