Is it easier to ship to Canada if I buy from a Canadian dealer?

I am participating in a "secret santa" group and the person I drew lives in Ontario. I've heard about problems with customs, so I thought maybe it would be easier to just order from a Canadian online knife dealer and have them ship directly to my secret santa recipient.

Is this possible, and if so, who is a good online dealer that can provide this service?

Thanks in advance,

Kent

I don't know if they may suspect fraud by doing so. I used a friends credit card to order from Warriors and Wonders and the knife had to be shipped to the credit card billing address I also know that W&W only does paypal for non Canadians. depending on what you want to get it might be worth while dropping them an email of giving them a call to see if they will do it.

The only problems I have had with Canadian Customs is I was charged taxes on the KITH knife I received, and for what I got that was a small price to pay. Shipping a knife to Canada is fairly easy if you follow a few simple rules, no switch blades, balisongs, or push daggers. For folders tighten down the pivot so the knife can't be flicked open. A quick read of the first post in this thread will tell you anything you need to know about Canadian knife laws

Shipping to Canada is not that problematic.

As Unki mentioned, there are some things we can't have & the folder flicking to watch for.

Ship with USPS the post office.

UPS, FEDex and those who do self brokerage will charge $40+ in additional brokerage fees.

or for candian dealers

You can try Knife Zone

Am I going to be beaten for deal spotting ?
