Is it here yet?

So about 10 minutes ago I just clicked "Confirm Order" on a new set of micarta slabs for my BK12/RSK MKII and also on my second Becker, the BK14.

Now the waiting begins. Is it here yet? *peeks out window at mailbox* Patience may be a virtue, but it is one that I never had...

Does anyone else hate waiting for new goodies to arrive as much as I do?

Just because patience is a virtue doesn't make impatience a vice. I share your dislike of waiting. Strongly. Good luck. If you could manage to forget about it then that would help. The way to do that is to order stuff all the time. ;)

I order stuff all the time but I think my mail man likes to jack with me and waits till I go back on my hitch at work to deliver it. I feel like some kinda junkie peekin out the window waiting for him or her to get here just to get more catalogs to order more stuff..... I hate that guy lol:D

We'd all love a huge knife store in our town with internet-type pricing. :) I definitely hate waiting for stuff to get here. That's why I pay for Amazonian Prime service.

Unfortunately the only place with a decent selection of knives near me charges full MSRP or sometimes higher! I swing through there occasionally to look at and fondle some of them, but never to buy.

It could be worse, somehow I usually end up ordering things immediately prior to a three-day weekend or somesuch and have to wait even longer.

I should probably un-follow this thread lest it keep reminding me of what I am waiting for :)

My favorite online store usually has things to my doorstep within 4 days from clicking the button. I've put it in at 11:49 PM the friday before a long weekend, and still had it on Wednesday of the next week. I think they must have processed and shipped it on Saturday. Sounds like the Moose ships pretty darn quick too.

Fortunately for me a very large internet blade dealer has a retail store about an hour from where I live but unfortunately for me they do not carry BK&T(WTF) and there hq is an hour drive. I'm gonna have to ask them why in the Hell they don't carry them.

The last place I ordered a knife from (other than SMKW), I ordered on Monday, and it showed up Thursday. I will not divulge the whereabouts of this south american river store.

i'm still waiting for something i ordered over a month ago. i am trying to remain patient but that is a long time.

Huzzah. Micarta and BK14 should be here tomorrow!

Now what is really going to kill me is waiting on a pocket sheath for the 14 from Skystorm...

Sounds like you don't have Prime. Last week my BK7 arrived in 22 hours. :D

I honestly don't see my need for prime yet, maybe when I have money to start buying more stuff from that place, but honestly, there are very few things under $50 I want that they sell, so after summer camp starts, maybe I'll upgrade to Prime, but $80 a year is more than I buy from them.

I feel much the same way. I almost signed-up for prime last year, but I tallied up the amount I had spent on shipping the year prior and only came out to about $50, so it didn't justify the cost for me. I try to make use of the free super-saver shipping whenever I can.

In this case I bought the scales and BK14 from GPKnives, so prime wasn't an option.

I don't even pay for shipping, I just find the stuff that is eligible for super-saver shipping, if there is something that's not eligible, then there is one matching item that is.

I guarentee they lose money on me. Prime kicks ass, once you swallow that initial cost.

To the OP - I cannot stand waiting. I think I might very well be the world's most impatient person! Good luck with your purchase.

The last order I placed for a knife online, was placed on Friday evening (after business hours) and arrived on Monday! I've ordered from him several times and have always had amazing service.

Woot! USPS says it was delivered about an hour ago. Now to quickly come down with a stomach bug so I can get home early :)

I really don't mind waiting for stuff too much, as long as it gets here within a few days. ;)

Well at least you wouldn't have to schedule your purchases around a friend or relative who is coming home from abroad :(
My brother has been bugging me about us getting a bk-9 for each. But so far nobody here is willing to handle that sort of order.
I saw a guy selling Izula kits here for almost thrice the price! Will try and broach the idea of ordering BK&T stuff from him and learn his pricing. But the situation here is a PITA :grumpy:

Even with all that waiting, you guys are still very very very fortunate
