Is it Live or is it Memorex?

While this style of knife really isn't my interest, I wouldn't have known the diference and could've purchased it thinking I had a real Buck.

I know they have coppied the stamped blades but I think the new laser etching Buck has started using would make this even easier and cheaper for counterfieters to replicate.

I agree, the laser etching sucks anyway.

To the Lions with laser etching!!!

Get the blade/tang stamp back...

Yeah......the laser etching more than sucks.

Where's the knife knut guy with the flag and the funny hat now?

:)

None of them look real to me. The designs don't really match up exactly with any of the Bucks I've seen and the lettering is just plain wrong on most of them.

I think there are very few customers who would know this.

I guess that is true. I tend to try and research currently available products from manufacturers I'm interested in before I commit to a purchase which may be why I felt that none of those knives really looked quite right to me. On the other hand, if they were to make, say, a copy of an existing design like I've seen in the CR subforum, I might not know enough about the exact design details of the specific copied model to be able to tell the difference between the counterfeit and the original.
