Is it me? FK vs DEK

They look the same to me. Is it me? I am sure a tape measure and calipers would tell me different, but from a field perspective, I think they can serve the same purpose.

I was worried I wouldn't get much use out of the DEK since I had a FK2 but I'm surprised with how much I carry the DEK. It's now my most-reached-for CPK.

The DEK1 Is also thinner, and more pointy. It’s like a small fighter. The FK2 is better suited for bushcraft, and camping.

I'm out walking rural roads full of free range guard dogs, or hiking, or just outside doing chores a lot more than I'm camping, and grab the DEK every time

I'll add to this that the physics of the knife are totally different. DEK1 wants to jump around and move about. FK2 is more planted and balanced for hard use
