I could't find one anywhere (American online stores) yesterday. All Large Sebenzas and the Ummunzan are either out of stock or back-ordered.

What's happening? Are production slowing down or those stores are not restocking them? (or customers are buiyng by the buckets). I'd like to order one, so please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

I kind of know what you mean. I can't find a Large 21 with micarta inlays anywhere.

Where do you live? Because if you live within reasonable driving distance of a CRK dealer, then it might be a good idea to give one a call.

Umnumzaans are semi-hard to find to begin with, and a Left-Handed Umnumzaan was a nightmare.

After some searching around, it turned out that a knife store about an hour drive away had TWO LH Umnumzaans in stock. I even got mine for less than MSRP.

I just found at least 3 (retail) in as many minutes. Go to the CR website, look for domestic dealers with websites, and start clickin'. Or check our favorite online auction site. There are always one or two up for purchase there.

Found one online, thanks! However, I just found out now reading this forum about a new 2011 Umnunzaan with a different steel.

The Umnumzaan.

I bought a Sebenza from "Only Fine Knives" the other day. He had an Umnumzaan in stock then.

I'm sure there are many others but but I have good luck finding CRK knives from the following dealers.

New Graham, Knife Art, Action Concepts aka bodromarsh on eBay (nice guy), Only Fine Knives, Plaza Cutlery, GP Knives.

There is also Straight River Knives in Minnesota. Don't use their website to order from just call the number listed on it. He is a straight up guy and has always been very helpful to me.

I'm sure I am leaving someone out but those are some of the people I have dealt with that I would have no reservations in recommending to anyone.

I think the odds are pretty high one of them will have what you are looking for. CRK also has a list of dealers on their site.

maybe i'm crazy, but maybe chris reeve is busy repositioning the "idaho made" stamp because of all the negative feedback. which is slowing down the amount of knives being produced. I agree though, nowhere has a small plain sebenza 21 in stock.
I've only just recently been seriously looking at getting a crk knife so maybe its slow like this somewhat regularly...

Yes, you're crazy. ;) :D Knives get made in batches...they may be doing contract work on the fixed blades, or running off more Umnus, or something other than Sebs. They'll be back in stock before long.

That crossed my mind. Chris did say two things. The stamp was here to stay, and 2nd - that he was taking all suggestions and comments in the stamp repositioning and poll threads under consideration. He also said that a few hundred had been made with the original stamp made that had to be sold, SO - Maybe? :)

so basically my earlier prediction comes true...

the stamp that everyone hates so much gets changed and becomes a rare item, fetching a higher price.

I'm going to a gun and knife show next weekend, I know for a fact that there will be a stocked, CRK dealer there. His store is called Straight River Knife.

If you're serious about wanting to buy, shoot me a PM

Try Nordic knives they had 3or 4 Umnumzanns last time I stopped in, I really have to stop doing that I don't think my credit card can take it any more. :D

No affiliation just a frequent and happy customer.

I hope you're right. I have a NIB "Idaho Made" ready to hit the exchange when the frenzy begins to own this oddity. :D

I just got my Umnumzaan last week from Knifeart.com. Has a birthdate of 2/23/11 and came with S35VN and the Idaho stamp. Hasn't left my pocket since I unboxed it. I even sleep with it. I have issues...
