I'm with those that say it depends on what my plans are for the day, and how I'm carrying my EDC combo. Light vs. heavy seldom makes it into the decision making process, but comfort of carry does. I still love my bulky "Tactical" knives and carry those in a belt sheath, when I plan on working hard, or clipped RF pocket, if it's slim enough. For office days, I prefer both slim and unobtrusive, and I have a pocket sheath that keeps things pretty stationary in my pockets. I'm a mostly jeans sort of guy, so the large folders don't fall down to lay horizontally in my pockets, so I go up to the large trapper size. (2012 Forums knife or Case large trapper, and occasionally the 9cm Le Thiers Par Chambriard). These are usually in my right front pocket.
A peanut or senator will ride in LF pocket for smaller chores, or in front of co-workers (we have a 2.5inch limit).
