Today at work I was discussing knives with this guy and he said that balisongs with a blade under 5 inches is legal in california. Is this true? If so would the Benchmade BM-42 qualify? Thanks in advance for all of the help.
 
Your friend made only one small error. It's off by three inches. A balisong with a blade of less than two inches is Cal legal as I understand it.
