hey guys,,,got a question ,,,I"m a new member to the forum and was wondering would anybody recommend this knife I"m interested in buying,, the bark river bravo 2,,I saw it on utube briefly but I wanted to see if anybody had any first hand knowledge of the knife ,,thx

Bark River makes some great knives for the money.

The Bark River Bravo 2 is an excellent knife. It is certainly worth buying as long as you're familiar with maintaining a convex ground edge.

There are plenty of videos on youtube about sharpening convex edges. Sandpaper over a mouse pad is preferred by many. Using a leather strop will usually maintain an edge that's not very dull. I did notice that Falkiven recommends using small circular motions followed by a single slicing stroke using conventional style hones. Use the search feature on this site and I'm sure you'll find more valuable info. Don't let any of this sway you from purchasing a Bravo 2. Sharpening it is not difficult
