Is it worth upgrading from the Spyderco Delica 4 to the Paramilitary 2?

I prefer the pm2. Pm2 is alot heavier, thicker, and doesn't carry as well as the delica. But i like the compression lock, steels, feel of it in hand, and the looks of it better. Delica is definatly right beside it though for me. Just like all knife decisions, its someones preference. And to be quite honest, the looks of it are a big factor for me. I find it to be one of the most attractive knives out there.

I suppose it's already been said. The Delica and the PM2 are both fantastic knives. The Delica is lighter weight, thinner in both blade and handle, narrower and a tad shorter than the PM2. Delica disappears nicely in dress pants or a sport coat where a PM2 will bulge. The Stretch is a knife with blade length similar to the PM2 in a more compact package, and is the biggest knife I'll wear clipped in dress clothes.

A FFG Delica will cut corrugated cardboard better than a PM2 because of its thinner blade. The PM2 is more robust for applications where lateral stiffness is helpful, and has more belly, too. It is my go-to work knife for woodwork and remodeling.

Sage 5 might be something to consider as well as the handle thickness and blade are a little closer to the delica and you still get the compression lock. The sage carries pretty well since it's still thinner in the handle. I think it is taller in the handle by a noticeable amount than the delica, which I like but some won's.

I see a lot of comparison statements of the pm3 to sage 5 which is why I bring that up.
