is it wrong

"Yes, I do like that 111 frame.I have the 111 club knife w/Elk antler slabs (2007)and I'm glad I got it.DM "

David, I just received mine like yours a couple of weeks ago and it's a real beauty.

"why did buck quit making the 111 , I prefer the nickel silver bolsters I think they look better and are tougher ,then the brass"

I wonder about that too. Maybe Joe or CJ will pop in here and give us some insight as to why that decision was made.

Plumberdv, what is the bottom one 532 on your photo, please? I already fount the Master with red bone (the second from button) and Mastodon (3rd), but that one looks new for me. Which wood is on the handle?
Thank you!

From the top down they are a LE Ironwood handle (I don't know for sure when it was made), a jigged bone LE from 1998 (not a Master series) and the mastadon ivory.

Thank you!
Looks like I already have all three, but my Ironewood is with BG-42 blade which is not polished to the mirror.
Do you know what is a deference between jigged bone 532 Master series and Limited Edition? Mine is LE too, not MS.

I believe that the Master series has BG-42 blade material.

Got my new 111 today pretty nice knife , do you think Buck would change the scales to oak if I sent it in

For me the answer was "DUC" or Dress Up Carry...I'm sure I was not the first to use that term but it really works for me....I love and collect 112's but most of my DUC's are other model Bucks. My 2007 elk BCCI 111 is in rotation, that Buck has the sharpest point of any Buck I own too.....But a 1992 art proof of the 1993 BCCI 532 that has my BCCI life membership number does not leave home....I will say the gold on the blade is a lot tougher than you would think...Don't be skeered !!!!!!!!!!

imafritz the winning bid for the knife on ebay was $22.00 $30 with shipping couldnt believe it went for so cheap ,had my auto bid set to $65 . why did buck quit making the 111 , I prefer the nickel silver bolsters I think they look better and are tougher ,then the brass

Good for you buddy, Glad a forumer got it-wish I had that kind of luck though,
