sorry to play Frankenstein with a 6 year old thread but I'm about to buy a knife from them and want to make sure that its real. it's a discontinued knife so that's why I'm worried I just hope it's luck . it's the ZT0620 cf preorder and everyone else is out of stock

knifecenter is legit. Huge selection, full of information too. They are how I learned about this website - in October of 1998, so they have been around a while!

It's always best to start a new discussion when the alternative is necro-bumping a long dead discussion. Now, the item you are seeing is listed as "Discontinued" , but the reality is that it hasn't even been released yet. How can something be discontinued if it has yet to be sold? I've been buying stuff from Knifecenter for almost a decade and they are legit. You won't get charged for anything unless it is in fact in stock. Bt this item is not in stock anywhere, because it has not been released. There is consistency across every vendor for a reason.
 
Been buying from them for years as well. There isn't a business out there with more integrity than those folks. Buy with confidence.
 
Knifecenter is one of the best, the have the biggest selection I have seen. I have heard stories of some pre orders never getting fulfilled, but I havent ever had a problem.

Knifecenter has a long standing habit of overselling pre-orders.

Why are you trying to pre-order a regular production item though? Especially 5 months after it debuted. You will get it faster just hunting it down when it's released.
 
well I ordered the knife. went with a brous t4 in acid stonewash. always wanted a brous. in the end ill just wait and buy a actual emerson down the road hopefully the for and finish problems will be worked out by them.

but I have to say the guy I called at KC was really nice and set me up with a lower production number
 
What finish problems are you concerned with? On the 0620? I'm not aware on any finish issues on that knife, as it has not even been released for sale yet. I'm not understanding.
 
not on the 620 . I read on here knives from emerson have fit and finish problems which is why I was going to get the ZT emerson. emerson design and wave but without the F&F problems of a emerson made knife but that's just what I read on here a lot of people complain the Emerson's are hit or miss

I own a ZT0301 and know they are great knives with no F&F problems
