Hey everyone,

I responded to the below thread with a "I'll buy it" for the "lincoln jack" on 10/18/17 at 2:12 PM and paid via PayPal on 10/18/17 at 3:40 PM (2:59 PM bladeforum time). Checked PayPal and a shipping label was prepared on 10/18/17 at 3:40 PM and as of this email the knife has not been shipped. I eamiled kysteve on 10/19/17 to see when he would ship it and no email replay. Just emailed kysteve again 10/22/17.

So does anyone know if something bad has happened to kysteve that would prevent the shipping of the knife or responding to my email requests? Any and all help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Come on @kysteve let Harry know what’s going on.
Nothing worse than a seller going dark after receiving someone’s money.

Harry, sorry you got stuck dealing with @kysteve brother.
He’s done the same thing to a couple of other members here.

I’m hoping you paid using G&S with PP. If so, give him a couple more days. If you don’t get a response by then, start a PP claim.

Hey everyone,

I just emailed Steve via PayPay and will open a claim if I do not hear back from him this evening.

As we all know prompt payment and delivery is one of the joys of this forum, along with receiving your purchase in a timely manner and being keep in the loop of any delays – life stuff.

As a past seller I have always let the buyer know when I would ship a purchase and that was usually the day of purchase or the next day. If there were any delays I would always keep the buyer informed. Just good business!

I found the same knife on another very popular web site for sale at $160 and decided to spend the extra money ($175) here as my way of supporting this great forum.

Keep up the good work everyone and thanks for the feed back.

Take care,
Harry

Unfortunately this seems to be developing into a habit with @kysteve, I believe this would be the fourth time a member has complained about the slow shipping / lack of communication from him.

Perhaps a temporary ban from the exchange or the forums itself would help.

Hey Harry seems par for the course with Steve he was here today and posted on Friday because his gold membership was hit by the forum bug. He dose this a lot I truly hope you receive your knife you bought. We see this bs every few weeks and the sellers just keep on getting to sell here. Belive me I get that a lot of the buyers get their knives but how many times do buyers have to keep getting messed with before mods step in? Prompt payment deserves prompt shipping not a week or two later with no contact to the buyer even though the seller is here online ignoring the buyer. Then just shows back up makes a excuse and gets to do it agian over and over and over agian.

Selling on this forum is like running a small one person business and good customer service should help identify the sellers that value their reputation.

I understand that there was some confusion concerning Gold membership although that does not justify not responding to 2 emails via his yahoo account. I have also not received a response for Steve to my PayPay email sent last night.

Going dark on buyer is just not good business practice!

Thanks ,
Harry

Hey Harry. Have you left a message on his profile? He ususlly responds quickly to PMs. I m not sure he uses email much. On the positive side, I have bought three knives from him. No issues with shipping or quality of the knives for that matter. Most recent one was purchased Sunday 10/15, received a tracking number for pre-shipment 10/17, accepted by USPS and on its way to me 10/18 via Priority Mail. He also has tons of positive feedback.

These tons of positive feedback you're referring to; they don't mean squat, when you've had 2 or 3 negative GBU thread's started by other member's, due to his apathetic, lackadaisical conduct.

Not that he cares, but I for one, will be avoiding any/all sales thread's started by kysteve, in the future. The fishing pole/vacation thread, was enough for me.:thumbsdown:

Well, kysteve was last on here this evening. I guess he won't be voluntarily chiming in here in this thread.

H Harry , have you heard from him yet?

Oh he might but it will be with a excuse. I seem to remember one of his excuses was his son in laws paypal was locked due to a claim and he was going to sturgis and told the op in so many words they might visit the op. He shows up and then gets super mad when people call him on his bs.

This would be one in the same since he only participates in the Exchange threads.

Between this current crap, his incoherent or absent replies, breaking the rules (I’ve reported him many times for posting multiple sales threads in the same area per day), and everything else that’s happened previously, maybe a ban would be a good thing for him....

and everyone else!

Any chance you can fix the dates underlined in bold?

All the other dates are 10 as in October. I hope the 18 typo in the month spot isn't confusing you because anyone reading it sees it should be 10. Hope this clears that up for ya. Im sure the op wants no confusion.

Just fixed my date typo and an update.

Opened PayPal claim as Steve has not responded to any of my emails to his yahoo account or my paypal email. Not sure what is going on with Steve as this is not a good way to treat a customer that has paid for a knife he advertised for sale. He is still an active member and may have a good reason for not mailing the knife. Stuff happens and I understand that. I also have left 2 messages on his profile.
