Is Michigan changing their knife laws?

Earlier this year I herd something about them relaxing the knife laws but I haven't herd any more. Anyone else hear about this?
 
HB 5544 would eliminate the ban on automatics (switchblades) and liberalize the knife laws in other respects as well. Knife Rights supports this bill, but it appears to be stalled at the time, like a lot of legislation. The election is playing havoc with getting legislation moved. But, we are still hopeful this will move forward at some point.
 
I'm trying to buy folders for grandboys in Michigan. Is a 3" blade still the max allowed?
Google hasn't been much help there. I guess my ZT 0350's are scrap-metal there?
